Microneedling is a natural way to improve the appearance of your skin and reverse the signs of ageing. Scarring, moderate wrinkles, stretch marks, age spots and mild pigmentation can all be successfully treated.

The Dermapure Pure Roller System uses 200 very fine needles designed to achieve a ‘controlled injury’ to the skin without damage leading to increased production of fresh collagen and elastin. The needles create temporary micro channels into the skin allowing greater absorption of products and ingredients.

Regular treatments results in firmer, smoother and more youthful skin.

Pure Roller is also known as ‘dermal roller’ and ‘collagen stimulation therapy’.

How does it work?

The principle behind Pure Rolling is stimulating and accelerating cell renewal plus new collagen, without damaging the epidermis.

The very fine titanium needles cause a controlled injury to the skin.

As the skin repairs itself, new collagen is deposited in the papillary dermis resulting in the Retes ridges plumping from underneath, smoothing out wrinkles, fine lines and indented scars.

The skin’s strength, collagen and elastin are improved resulting in a rejuvenated, smooth and youthful complexion.

Microneedling – The Process

Step 1 - Initial Consultation

A medical aesthetician will meet with you to understand your concerns and skincare goals.

They will carry out an assessment of your skin and take a set of baseline photographs. This can be referred back to throughout your treatment plan to assess the effectiveness of the treatment, and monitor the skin’s improvement.

A personalised skincare plan will be recommended based on your skin type and problem areas.

Step 2 - The Treatment

Your skin will be double cleansed using Dermaquest Peptide Glyco cleanser on dry skin with dry hands to remove all make up. We will then prep the skin with primer to insure the skin is ready for treatment. Anesthetic will then be applied for 30-40 minutes before the procedure to ensure the procedure is a s comfortable as possible.

The treatment will start from the top of the foreheaed working our way down, it can be described as a scratching sensation and you may feel some discomfort. The process will be repeated until the whole face has been covered.

The skin will then be massaged to ensure all the nutrients from the blood spotting and serums have penetrated. You will then be placed under an LED white light to stimulate healing and collagen on a deeper level.

Our treatments are performed by an experienced skin therapist fully qualified in the Dermapure Pure Roller System.

Step 3 - Recovery

Following your Pure Roller treatment your skin will feel warm with a mild redness and a slight discomfort similar to mild or moderate sunburn. It is important to treat your skin gently and follow your therapists skin care advice. Treatment time is 1.5 hours, and one of the great advantages of this treatment is the minimal downtime.

Step 4 - Aftercare

A program of 3 or 6 treatments will be planned leaving 2-4 weeks between each phase of the treatment programme.
